Kristin Fischer is set to join CNN as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. In her new position, Fisher is responsible for covering everything including NASA's recently-created Space Force to commercial space businesses and the advent space tourism. Being the child of 2 NASA astronauts, Kristin grew up in the space industry and worked for the past five years covering the Biden and Trump Administration's space policies as an White House Correspondent for FOX News. Kristin was also a reporter covering impeachment proceedings for the president, the 2020 Presidential campaign and efforts by two administrations to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. Kristin travelled extensively, including both the president and vice-president. The reporter even took a top-secret trip to Afghanistan alongside Donald Trump. Kristin worked her way through the regional news market of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to being hired by the CBS network. She was awarded an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as a CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Kristin's camera skills led her to found Field Mouse Films which specialized creating documentary-style films for corporate clients such as Uber Hotels and Resorts as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Boston University. She is currently living in Washington, D.C., along with her family members, including their 3-year-old daughter.
